A PICTURE PAINTS A THOUSAND WORDS!

HOPE, ON THIS LAST DAY OF 2004

I hope this day finds you thankful for the previous year! I hope this day finds you anticipating a fun evening! I hope this day finds you looking forward to tommorrow! I hope this day finds you full of hope!

Some insightful words about "hope":

"If it were not for hopes, the heart would break."
Thomas Fuller.

"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord."
Psalm 31:24

"It's really a wonder that I haven't dropped all my ideals, because they seem so absurd and impossible to carry out. Yet I keep them, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can't build my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery and death."
Anne Frank

"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God."
Psalm 42:11

"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow."
Orison Marden.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..." 1 Peter 1:3

I wish you HOPE, today and for all of your tommorrows.

We Will Prevail

"We will prevail over this destruction," Bush said from his Texas ranch Wednesday.
What does that mean? How does one prevail over destruction? Been thinking about this statement and perhaps it was not the best choice of words. I know Bush cares but you can't always "prevail". It sounds like war talk to me. We can not prevail over Mother Nature. We can pick up the pieces afterward but we can't prevail.

Poof!

I have been transported to the world of Blogging! This is my little corner of the world where I'll sit and think, scribble my thoughts, ponder the universe, share joys and sorrows, ask big and little questions and maybe get a few answers.

Today my heart is half-way around the world with all those affected by the earthquake/tsunami. Life is beautiful here in my corner of the world. The sun is shining and I have plenty of fresh water to drink. I wish I could take a cup to those in need! Instead, I send my prayers.
