My kids grew up watching Steve Irwin on "Discovery Channel". They would squel with delight as he held snakes and wrestled crocodiles and brought the wild animals right into our living room. What a character, a very brave soul, he was! What a tragedy that this lover of nature and world wide advocate for animal rights is no longer with us. This evening, on Larry King Live, I watched a 2004 interview that Larry did with Steve. I couldn't get over his enthusiasm and joy, his liberal use of "mate" and his big ole grin! He was just a great guy all around and will be missed by so many people around the world! It hit home again, that life is fragile and who knows how long we have to live on this earth. I want to live with gusto and love and vision, like Steve did! Carpe Diem!
